SoftPerfect Network Search Engine does exactly that, letting you look for and find files and folders located on any PC connected to a LAN or Intranet.

SoftPerfect Network Search Engine consists of a simple interface that will help you search quickly and easily. It has an administration console with which you can determine the IP range of the PCs that are connected to the same network, or indicate just the address of those you want to search in. If your search is more concrete, you can also specify the folders you want to analyze. Once all the parameters are configured, you just insert the filename you want to find, indicate if it is just a file or a folder, and say how many results per page you want.

The results obtained with SoftPerfect Network Search Engine show in which PC and folder the files are, the size and date and the exact name. All searches made with this application are done quickly, and consume minimum network resources. Thus you can work at the same time with other applications and not lose time.
